Warilla RSL Club will be all dolled up for the fourth annual doll and teddy bear show next weekend.
Precious porcelain dolls, cuddly teddies and colourful cloth dolls will compete for prizes which will be presented by Shellharbour City Mayor Cec Glenholmes.
Show organiser Di Godfrey said all proceeds from the show would go to Mt Warrigal Primary School's early intervention program.
"We feel it is fitting that the proceeds from the show should go towards helping disabled children fit into mainstream classes as many children benefit from the work of our doll club members," Ms Godfrey said.
She said that while youngsters always enjoyed viewing the lines of dolls and teddies at the show, they were "big kid's toys".
"We have a All Dolled Up Inc membership of about 50 women who produce top quality work," Ms Godfrey said.
"There is a lot of work involved with doll making as the ladies make the clothes, wigs and shoes as well as painting the dolls. It is wonderful to see the look on their faces when they complete their first doll."
Ms Godfrey, who is an accredited porcelain doll tutor, conducts regular classes at Foxground and Barrack Heights. She is very serious about her craft.
"My motto is that making dolls isn't a matter of life and death - it's more important than that," she joked.
Doll and teddy makers will be judged at the show in which there are 19 sections which allow novices, non-professionals and professionals to compete.
Show visitors also can enter a raffle on the day with a doll, a teddy and a cloth doll as prizes.
Ms Godfrey said late entries for competition would be accepted at Warilla RSL Club on Friday from 8am to 10am.
The doll and teddy show will be open to the public from 10am to 4pm next Saturday. Adults can view the entries, enjoy light refreshments and browse the trading stalls for $3; children pay $1.50.
